The tubuli are mitochondria, the larger structures are chloroplasts. (B) Mitochondria (green) and actin cytoskeleton (red) in rat kangaroo PtK2 cells. (C) Mitochondrial network (green) as well as cell wall and bud scars (blue) in a dividing budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) (Egner et al., 2002).
